Life and Work’s First Steps

He was born in Houston, Texas, as Jacques Berman Webster II, better known by his stage name, Travis Scott. For the first six years of his life, he lived with his grandmother in a crime-ridden neighborhood in Houston, South Park. Later, he and his parents moved to a middle-class suburb of Houston called Missouri City. He graduated from Elkins School and enrolled at the University of Texas San Antonio, where he dropped out his sophomore year to pursue a music career.
