The recent GTA 5 car upgrades have made it one of the most popular video games of this generation. Gamers have been flocking to stores to buy the new version of the game, and now that it’s available on next-gen consoles, many more players are jumping on board. But there’s still one question left unanswered: what can you do with all those new cars? If you don’t plan on driving them to work every day, how will you use them?
1) What are Mods?
Essentially, mods are extensions and add-ons to a video game. You can usually tell if a game has mods, because it’ll have modding community written in its description on Steam. From simple enhancements (such as improved graphics or user interface) to gameplay overhauls (like merging characters from different games), there’s no end to what you can do with mods. And while many of them are made by amateur developers, some mods are created by professional studios. In fact, many of today’s most popular games started out as mods for other titles! The main reason for creating these modifications is that they allow players to tweak their experience according to their preferences—whether it be changing weapons or adding new levels. But another important aspect is that they allow developers to test new features before implementing them into an official update—sometimes even after an official release!
2) How do you get car mods in GTA 5?
You have to use an internet enabled laptop and select Internet (under on your phone) then GTA Online (on your computer). After that, you select a car. Then go to mods. You can only do one mod per car so choose wisely. Once you’re done getting mods, go back to GTA 5 and call up your mechanic. He’ll ask if you want him to install them and then install them when you say yes. If you don’t like it or change your mind, just call him again and tell him not to install them. You can also buy cars with mods already installed from Legendary Motorsport in-game for $1 million dollars each! There are also some special cars with mods already installed from Benny’s Original Motor Works in-game for $150k-$350k each!

3) Where do you find them?
I’ve heard rumors that they’re available on some websites, but as of right now (mid-September 2013) they’re not available yet. So we have to wait until either Rockstar releases them or people find a way to hack into them. In any case, it should be a couple of months before we can get our hands on these mods. What are they?: The car mods are basically modifications you can apply to your cars in GTA V. You may have noticed that there are already modifications for your cars in previous versions of Grand Theft Auto, and these mods will likely work in similar ways: you’ll buy upgrades for your vehicles from shops around Los Santos and Blaine County. There will probably also be special mod shops dedicated exclusively to car mods.

How do they affect gameplay? Well, since GTA V is an open world game with tons of activities to participate in, your choice of vehicle is going to be pretty important. If you want to go off-roading through the hills and forests outside Paleto Bay, then you might want a truck with four wheel drive. On the other hand, if you’re trying to escape police attention by driving across town really fast, then maybe something like a sports car would be better suited for that task.
